Hanahaki ( jap. 花吐き病) is a rare mythical disease where a person coughs out flowers and let them grow out from the body. According to the myth, this reaction is caused by urequited love. It is believed that an unrequited lover's heart is shrouded in flowers, which prevents its normal functioning.

After all, true love, like a flower bud, gradually blooms and takes root in the heart.
